Assorted Horizons

Assorted Horizons is a conceptual work consisting of 120 analogue photographs, each featuring a horizon line. The piece emerges from the composition between each image, and as a viewer one can, from a distance, consider the images as one unified landscape with a long continuous line, or get closer to explore the details in an individual photo. The use of the horizon line is a visual device that speaks to our aesthetic sense, as the eye instinctively seeks the line as a point of reference. The different horizons reflect the versatility in us humans; though we may look at the same landscape, we will never see exactly the same thing, nor be able to see everything at once.
